Garden Wildlife:
In the Southwestern area of Second Wildlife (TM) is our Garden
Wildlife section with its flowerbeds, meandering pathways and many private locations for sitting
and taking in all the beauty SL has to offer. Here we have garden and
woodland creatures to enhance your home, including crickets, spiders, rats, squirrels and rabbits, with more on the way!
Garden Wildlife Product Line:
Second Wildlife (TM) Rabbits & Bunnies:

Welcome
our newest additions to the Second Wildlife (TM) family! These rabbits
come in a variety of colors & styles and are only 1 Prim each! They operate in any of
four modes you can select:
1.) 'Frozen'
mode stops all movement to make positioning easier.
2.) In 'Sitting' mode their nose & tail twitch.
3.) In 'Running' mode they
will hop, jump, eat & sleep in an area up to 50 x 50 meters.
4.) In 'Ground Run' mode rabbits will
follow the contours of the Sim Terrain - great for forests and other
areas with uneven ground!
New behavioral scripting causes these rabbits to become tired as they
perform activities and they will sleep to regain energy. Leaving out Fresh Carrots will
also help restore energy to your pet (and will help reduce the sculpted
prim ball bug some people experience). True to real life, these
virtual bunnies are nocturnal and will be most active during the
evening hours, often resting during the daytime. Second Wildlife (TM)
rabbits recognize their owner and will tend to follow you around within
their user-defined limits. They'll also scatter from strangers,
although there is a very small chance they will befriend a stranger or
two if someone spends enough time near your pet.
In addition to food seeking, the Options
menu includes full sound volume control, a renaming option, and an
option to allow friends to control your critter's settings. Touch menus
make set-up easy and each is also ready to go with minimal set up -
just rez, touch & select "Run" from the menu. This
critter is great for home gardens, forest regions, etc, and the
non-physical movements won't load down your server. And at just 1 prim
each, there will be plenty of prims left over for plants, housing &
other wildlife!
Bunnies can be left out as prey for other larger wildlife (including
Second Wildlife (TM) Lions!) Simply set your predator's food option to
"On" and the predator will attempt to capture any nearby hopping
rabbits (luv bunnies however are unique and cannot be used as food).
Bunnies will try to evade the predatory animals, and are safe from
being detected while they are asleep. Not to worry, if a rabbit is
captured by a predator it will disappear for only a few minutes and
then re-appear as good as new. Set up your own wildlife ecosystem now
and watch nature run its course!
Special Rabbits:
* Luv Bunnies - Smaller than the standard rabbits these bunnies carry a
ruby heart on their chest. Cannot be used as Food for larger animals.
* Shamrock Bunny - This lucky bunny has a tendency to eat 4-leaf clovers in March to celebrate St Patrick's Day.

Second Wildlife (TM) Noisy Cricket:

This Cricket
will call out occasionally during the day and will become fully active
calling out throughout the night. Several calls are included and
authentic insect textures will give your garden the living atmosphere
you've been missing. Simply place one of these in your garden and it
will generate cricket sounds throughout a ~25 meter radius. Chirping
rate is affected by time of day (chirps more often at night), weather
(less chirps when windy) and season (more chirps in the summer). All of
this helps create an atmosphere that changes throughout the year and
feels as natural as possible. In addition, a new menu
system, available by touching the cricket, allows the owner to
turn off the day/night and seasonal patterns for a constant chirping,
or to turn off the sound altogether if you desire.

Second Wildlife (TM) Garden Spider:

This spider is placed on a ceiling or other hanging item and sits,
patiently awaiting for someone to walk nearby. When he senses someone
nearby he drops down, spins and then climbs back up to his web (see gif animation above for approximate motion). Legs
also move realistically while he is spinning & climbing! Using easy
to operate menus he can be programmed to continuously drop or wait for
the area to clear before the next drop. Drop distance & speed are
adjustable, as well as the sensing range. The base emitter can be made
invisible as well. This critter is great for surprising visitors in
creepy environments or for adding motion and life to your garden.
Also, a new feature allows you to wear your spider in Second Life!
Simply wait for him to return to his web & take into inventory.
Select him in inventory and click 'wear' and he'll appear attached to
you, his legs will move while attached!

3.) In 'Running' mode he
will run in an area up to 60 x 60 meters, emits rat sounds.
4.) In 'Ground Run' mode he will

Second Wildlife's (TM) Running Rat is free-roaming within your user
defined limits and utilizes code to make movements appear as realistic
as possible. You can also Name your rat and
multiple users can be given menu access! Sound levels are now
fully adjustable and there's an all-new option - Food Seek! With Food
Seek turned on, these rats will sniff out any fresh cheese nearby and
perhaps stop to snack. (Requires fresh Second Wildlife (TM) Cheese,
available only at the main shop at Second Wildlife Island, see the "Food & Other" link.)
This critter is great for surprising visitors in
