Gothic Wildlife:
Located in the Southeast area of Aeryglow Wildlife, our Gothic
Wildlife
section is a place to find our darker, creepier critters. Our Gothic
area features a dead forest to explore and creepy background music.

Aeryglow Wildlife (tm) Gothic Cricket:
Things
are never what they seem in the Gothic Forest. These crickets are
larger than their Garden cousins, and have eyes that glow red when they
chirp.
This Gothic Cricket will call out occasionally during the
day and will become fully active calling out throughout the night.
Several calls are included and authentic insect textures will give your
forest the living atmosphere you've been missing. The cricket will
generate cricket sounds throughout a ~25 meter radius. Chirping rate is
affected by time of day (chirps more often at night), weather (less
chirps when windy) and season (more chirps in the summer). All of this
helps create an atmosphere that changes throughout the year and feels
as natural as possible.
Additionally, a menu system,
available by touching the cricket, allows the owner to turn off the
day/night and seasonal patterns for a constant chirping, or to turn off
the sound altogether if you desire.

Aeryglow Wildlife (tm) Gothic Dropping Spiders:
Based on our Garden Spiders these
spiders are darker and creepier. Simply place on a ceiling or other
hanging item and the Gothic Spider sits, patiently awaiting for someone to
walk nearby. When it senses someone nearby it drops down, spins and
then climbs back up to the web. Legs also move realistically while the
tarantula is spinning & climbing!
Using easy to operate
menus Gothic Spiders can be programmed to continuously drop or wait for the
area to clear before the next drop. Drop distance & speed are
adjustable, sensing range is adjustable. The base emitter can be made
invisible as well. Additionally, these spiders may be worn - the web
becomes invisible and the legs become animated. When detached, the web
returns & the leg motions turn off so that the spider is ready
to be placed out if you wish. This critter is great for surprising
visitors in creepy environments or for adding motion and life to your
garden.
Gothic Spiders come in a variety of Tarantula colors as well as a new Black Widow model! Spiders are only 4 Prims now.

Aeryglow Wildlife (tm) Halloween Crab:
Listed
here for reference only, this 2-prim sculpted crab crawls about your
beaches adding motion & life to your tropical resort or beach home.
Using a unique Aeryglow Wildlife (tm) physical engine, these animals
move around realistically while placing a minimum physical load on
servers. See the Seaside "Aeryglow Wildlife (tm) Crabs" entry for more details.
Like
other crabs, this crab likes fresh Aeryglow Wildlife (tm) Kelp, however
in late summer & early fall they have been known to feast on dead
kelp as well.
Note: Physics enabled animals have some unique
requirements. They work best on smooth land with smooth terrain
changes. If used at sim ground level, it's best to select 'Ground On'
in the Options menu to help them avoid tripping up on the terrain.
Making the best use of your critters limits will also allow them to
remain in 'safe' areas, select the Range menu and click 'Show Range' to
see their operational area.

Aeryglow Wildlife(tm) Gothic & Ghost Rats:
Have
you ever wondered where Undead Rats go when their earthly existence
comes to an end? Some may pass into a ghostly afterlife, haunting old
cemeteries, churches and dark forests.
Based on the Garden
Rats but larger and leaner, with a Glowing Eyes option (eyes can be
turned on/off). Gothic Rats are black with glowing red eyes, Ghost Rats
are translucent with glowing green eyes. These rats operate in four
modes.
* 'Frozen' stops all movement to make positioning easier.
* In 'Sitting' mode his nose and flexi tail twitch through scripted routines while he stays in place.
* In 'Running' mode he will cover an area you define up to 60 x 60 meters and emits squeaking sounds!
* In 'Ground Run' mode he will behave the same as 'Running' except he'll follow the contour of the sim terrain!
Aeryglow
Wildlife's (tm) Gothic & Ghost Rats are free-roaming within your
user defined limits and utilizes code to make movements appear as
realistic as possible.
A number of enhancements have been
added to bring the Gothic Rat many of the same features as the
Garden Rats. These include the Ability to Name your Rat, Multiple
Person Menu Access, Sculpted Prims for a Reduced Prim Count, Floating
Text during set-up, Full Sound Adjustment, and Food Seek (requires
Aeryglow Wildlife (tm) Moldy Cheese for the Gothic rat or Etheral Cheese for Ghost Rats, available only at the main shop).
This
critter is great for surprising visitors in creepy environments or for
adding motion and life to your garden/forest areas. Makes a great gift
for those hard to buy for friends and family too!

Aeryglow Wildlife (tm) Flying Bats:
Only
six Prims! These sculpted prim bats have wings that flap when they fly
and wrap around themselves when they sleep. There are four operational
modes to choose from:
* Freeze Mode - Stops
all movements & animations so that you can program a new home point
or new sleep point.
* Hover Mode - Stops all movements, but turns on flying animation, great for keeping a stationary bat nearby.
* Loop Fly Mode - The Bat will fly around the outer limits you set,
looks similar to the llTargetOmega scripts, but uses real flying code.
* Free Fly Mode - The Bat will fly randomly within your limits!
Also,
you can turn on & off the sleep function that will cause the Bats
to head to the home point, flip upside down and wrap up their wings
around themselves when the sun begins to rise. At sunset, they'll
randomly wake up and begin flying again. You can also choose to save up
to four sleeping points and the bat will select one of those to sleep
at instead of the home point! Sleep points can be added to or erased at
any time. Adding a fifth sleeping point will cause the oldest sleep
point to be removed.
There are also sound adjustments in the options menu and you can provide menu access for your friends.
Currently
there are two bats available, a small Brown Bat (wingspan ~1.8m) and a
Flying Fox Bat (wingspan ~2.5m). Much work has gone into making the
models, textures and flying behavior as realistic as possible. There
are live versions circling the Bates Motel at the Aeryglow Wildlife
(tm) Gothic Nature Reserve, so stop by and see them in action.
