Jungle Wildlife:
In the Northern area of Second Wildlife (TM) is our new Jungle
Wildlife
section! Still in development it will soon include dense tree cover,
towering peaks and some of the best views of Second Wildlife
Island. Here we have jungle and plains creatures to enhance your
land, including lions and rabbits, with more on the way!
Jungle Wildlife Product Line:
Second Wildlife (TM) Lion Pride:

Welcome
our newest additions to the Second Wildlife (TM) family! These lions
can be purchased as a pride (one lion, one lioness & one cub) or
individually. They operate in any of our four standard modes:
1.) 'Frozen'
mode stops all movement to make positioning easier.
2.) In 'Sitting' mode they'll sit or sleep but will not move around.
3.) In 'Running' mode they
will sleep, sit, run around and (if the food option is on) hunt for prey in an area up to 50 x 50 meters.
4.) In 'Ground Run' mode lions will
follow the contours of the Sim Terrain - great for forests and other
areas with uneven ground!
All new behavioral scripting has been implemented on these animals. If
you purchase one from a vending machine the lion will program it's
personality on the first rez, thus each lion can behave slightly
different from others nearby. For instance some may be more
affectionate, others may become tired less easily. As they perform
activities the lions will become tired and will rest to regain energy.
They also lose less energy if their owner or a friend is nearby. They
may befriend avatars that spend a lot of time with them, up to 3
friends at a time. And you can help them regain energy by turning on
the food option and providing prey...
New food hunting scripting has been created for these lions. When the
Food Option is turned on, they will seek out prey. Currently all
standard Garden Rabbits/Bunnies
can be used
as prey. When a Lion detects nearby prey it will track and attempt to
capture the animal. If successful, the prey will be eaten (not to
worry, the bunny will be resurrected after a short period and be as
good as new) and the lion will gain energy. If the Lion is a member of
a pride, the other members will also come aid in the hunt. Also note if
you are seeing the sculpted prim ball shape regularly, try placing out
the Second Wildlife Jungle Bones set nearby, doing so should reduce the
flicker to almost none.
Lions that live close together may form a Pride. A pride can consist of
one Lion, one Lioness and one Lion Cub. When a member of the Pride is
tracking prey the other members may aid in the hunt, thus improving the
chances that all Pride members will gain much needed energy. Pride
members tend to congregate together although some Prides are more
closely bound than others.
In addition to food seeking, the Options
menu includes full sound volume control, a renaming option, and an
option to allow friends to control your animals settings. Touch menus
make set-up easy and each is also ready to go with minimal set up -
just rez, touch & select "Run" from the menu. These Lions are great for wild out lands, jungle regions, etc, and the
non-physical movements won't load down your server. And at just 1 prim
each, there will be plenty of prims left over for plants, housing &
other wildlife!
