



Seaside Wildlife:
At the Center of Second Wildlife (TM) is our Seaside
Wildlife
section. Here we have the most realistic Seaside animals in Second
Life. We also offer joint creations in conjunction with Something Fishy
including Nature's Smart Jellyfish (TM) and Nature's Smart Blue Whales
(TM). The sandy beaches of Seaside Island are an ideal location to sit
by the water and chat with friends. The tidal pool to the West of the
Vending Hut holds smaller live animals such as small & large
jellyfish, crabs and is a quiet place to relax. The lagoon to the East
holds larger animals such as Giant Jellyfish, smaller Whales and
includes a seaside bar where you can have some drinks with friends.
Seaside Wildlife Product Line:
Second Wildlife (TM) Crawling Crabs:

These 2-prim
sculpted crabs crawl about your beaches adding motion & life to
your tropical resort or beach home. Using a unique Second Wildlife (TM)
physical engine, these animals move around realistically while placing
a minimum physical load on servers. When moving about, their animated
legs move as well - the faster they crawl, the faster their legs run!
Of course, the Second Wildlife (TM) menu system is as easy to use as
ever, simply rez your crab, touch & select 'Run' or take the time
to adjust the many optional settings to personalize & fine tune
your crab. Full instructions are available at a touch of the menu
button 'Instructions'. These Crabs operate in 3 modes:
Freeze: Freezes your crab in-place. Useful for adjusting position or if you want a stationary crab someplace.
Run: Your crab will run about at a constant height, useful for running on flat prim surfaces.
Ground Run - Your crab will follow the contours of sim terrain. This is useful for uneven terrain such as a typical beach.
Additionally, there are many options including multiple Menu Access for
your friends, full sound level control, and a Food Seek option if you
want your crab to seek out fresh kelp (fresh kelp is sold separately at
the Second Wildlife (TM) sim in the Seaside Vending Hut). There
are currently three crabs available, the slightly larger, slower Brown
Crab and the smaller, faster Sally Lightfoot Crab & Halloween Crab.
Note: Physics enabled animals have some unique requirements. They work
best on smooth land with smooth terrain changes. If used at sim ground
level, it's best to select 'Ground On' in the Options menu to help them
avoid tripping up on the terrain. Making the best use of your critters
limits will also allow them to remain in 'safe' areas, select the Range
menu and click 'Show Range' to see their operational area.

Second Wildlife Flying Seagull:

This
10-Prim Seagull will circle your landscape and call out random gull
calls day & night. Several calls are included and authentic Gull
textures will give your sim the essence of beach wildlife you've been
missing. The flight path position, tilt, radius and speed are all fully
adjustable using touch menus, and the center emmiter can be viewed
for setup and turned off when setup is complete. One bird can cover an
area up to 60 meters across or can circle as tight as 8 meters. Package
includes one Seagull and a setup guide. New menu changes allow full
sound volume adjustment from 0% to 100%, you can obtain instructions
from a menu button, and now you can add friends & partners to a
Menu Access list so that they can make adjustments on your sea gull's
flight path!
The movement scripting produces no sim lag, so if you want to add
motion to your home without using any measurable sim resources these
gulls may be just what you are looking for.

Nature's Smart Jellyfish:

Something Fishy and Second Wildlife are proud to present a Nature's
Smart Fish/Seaside Wildlife (TM) creation, the Nature's Smart
Jellyfish(TM) powered by Second Wildlife is 14 prims.
* The Small version
is approximately 0.5 meters tall and is ideal for fish tanks and smaller waterways.
* The Large version is approximately 1.2 meters tall and is
ideal for streams, lakes &
marine areas.
* The Giant version is ~4.2 meters tall and is best suited for deeper waters.
Swimming range is
adjustable from +/-0.5 cubic meter to +/-50 cubic meters. Temp rez prims
are available to help define the range during programming. Once the
Smart Jellyfish is turned on, it is a free-swimming fish within the
programmed range. The Nature's Smart Jellyfish changes random colors
while swimming and the owner can freeze to the current color if they so
desire. Flexi-prims with realistic tentacle movements and swimming
sounds give the appearance of a real-life jellyfish. Package includes
one Nature's Smart Jellyfish (TM) powered by Second Wildlife and setup
instructions (jellyfish is also ready to go out of the box with little
or no adjustments).

Nature's Smart Blue Whales - Whale Call:

This whale call is a perfect way for those
without the room for a full-sized whale to hear the hauntingly
beautiful Blue Whale calls. This 1 prim rock can be placed anywhere and
can even be made invisible. Sounds cover 2 meters above and 20 meters
below and are adjustable north/south/east/west up to +/- 50 meters.
Sound volume and call frequency are all adjustable using Second
Wildlife (TM) Touch Menus.

Nature's Smart Blue Whales:

Another Something Fishy/Second Wildlife
jointly developed sea creature - Blue Whales! At a length of
approximately 30 meters, adult blue whales are the largest mammals
known to exist. We
offer two
whale calves (female & male) at a length of 7 meters and a 30 meter
Momma whale! All whales
are programmable using Second Wildlife's standard menus, these animals
will swim freely within the
range you specify, up to +/- 100 meters in the East/West and
North/South direction, and
as deep as +20m from the water surface. They can also swim in place if
you have limited room for them to swim. All whales include random
movements, including surfacing for air (and releasing a spray of water)
as well as jointed moving flippers and tail. Baby whales (up to 4 at a
time) can be linked to their momma and will then follow momma whale
around as shown in the picture on the right above.
Momma & baby can be found in the Southwest waters off the river walk at
Second Wildlife. Baby blue whales can be found throughout Second Wildlife and Something Fishy waters.
